FAQ’s

Where the heck are you? The office is one of three at 23 Main Street; to enter Artisan Eyewear please walk down Beach Street. Our door is on the side of the building. Here are two handy photos!

Can I get my eyes checked / obtain a prescription? There is NOT an optometrist or ophthalmologist on site; only a doctor can refract. If your prescription is current, I can contact your doctor on your behalf and request that your prescription be faxed or e-mailed to me.

Can you adjust/fix glasses I didn’t buy from you? I don’t adjust frames purchased off the internet. If they were purchased from another optical, I’m happy to adjust at no cost; however, keep in mind only the shop you purchased from has access to your frame’s warranty. There’s always a small risk of damage or breakage when manipulating frames.

Do you take insurance?  I will help you submit your insurance claim as an out-of-network provider. In this scenario payment is due upfront and your insurance sends you reimbursement.

Can I use my FSA/HSA Card? Yes.

How about gift cards? Click here to purchase e-Gift Cards, which can be printed or e-mailed to recipients.

How long before my glasses are ready? 5-8 days.

Are there discounts available? I offer a referral discount program to thank you for helping me grow. Ask me for details!

What is your return policy? Satisfaction is guaranteed; I will work with your doctor until you are happy. Alternatively, store credit is given.

Can I bring my dog / cat / bird with me? Please don’t – my landlord does not like animals in the building. If you have a service dog that of course is fine. (If you have an emotional support animal, you may prefer to schedule a home visit!)
